7:34, 4th: This is a nail-biter, but did you expect anything else? The Titans have the ball on the Ravens ' 42 with time to score. It's time for a big stop from the defense. I'm heading down to set up for post-game interviews. Thanks again for reading the blog. Check back to BR.com this evening for more coverage from the game.
-----
10:43, 4th: The Titans are driving, even though the Ravens are getting pressure on Collins with each pass. Collins, though, does not take any sacks because he does such a good job of throwing the ball out of bounds when he feels heat.
----
15:00, 4th: Injury Update: More injuries. First of all, defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth and Jevon Kearse both leave with injuries. Nothing reported yet, but they seem like leg injuries. Also, Le'Ron McClain takes another tweak to his ankle and is going to have it re-taped.
------
2:20. 3rd: Injury Update: Cornerback Samari Rolle has a groin pull and his return is questionable. The injuries are really mounting here.
-----
4:33, 3rd: It's becoming a punt-fest here in the second half. No team can get anything going. But with Johnson sitting on the bench, the Titans can't run the ball, so it's been Collins getting it done through the air. He's really filling up the middle of the field.
-----
8:33, 3rd: Injury Update: Johnson has an ankle injury and his return is questionable.
-----
9:36, 3rd: Titans running back Chris Johnson, who had been gashing the Ravens, hasn't played yet in the second half. We'll see if there's any injuries to report.
-----
11:45, 3rd: The wind is really starting to pick up here at LP Field. It's moving from left to right, as far as my vantage point in the press box goes.
That means the Ravens will have the wind at their back in the fourth quarter. That could be critical in a game that might come down to a late field goal.
-----
14:00, 3rd: The Ravens need only one minute to force the Titans off the field, and widoeut Yamon FIgurs heads back to take the punt, something he hadn't done in a while.
------
0:26, 2nd: Safety Jim Leonhard comes up with a big fumble recovery when linebacker Jarret Johnson punches the ball out of LenDale White's arm running into the red zone. With so little time left before the break, the Ravens just take a knee to kill the clock.
That's two Titans turnovers today. And while that last one may have not given a chance to convert some points, it's still a good sign for the Ravens' defense.
Tennessee will have the ball coming out of halftime.
-----
3:40, 2nd: Pick! Samari Rolle nabs the first turnover of the day with his interception. Jim Leonhard pressures Kerry Collins, who lofts a duck to receiver Justin McCariens in the open field.
Injury Update: Linebacker Terrell Suggs has a shoulder sprain and his return is questionable. He sustained the injury on a sprinting sack of Collins.
------
4:44, 2nd: Tennessee wideout Justin Gage is killing the Ravens over the middle. He's got four catched for 67 yards, and is a huge reason the Titans have mounted this impressive drive from thier own half-yard line.
------
10:08, 2nd: Whoa. The Titans catch a break running a play from their own 1-yard line with an 11-yard catch and run from fullback Ahmad Hall. But the enthusiasm over the gain is nullified when Ray Lewis hits him so hard that Hall's helmet comes flying off. Huge hit.
The Ravens are keeping cool heads in this one, too. The Titans already have seven penalties for 54 yards, including the personal foul that was just called on tackle Dave Stewart. Dumb flag.
-----
12:20, 2nd: Cam Cameron reaches into his bag of tricks by employing four offensive tackles, but it doesn't work. The Titans still get some heat on Joe Flacco with their front four as he was looking for the deep ball. Flacco is hit as he was passing, but the tuck rule was in effect, much to the chagrin of the groaning fans that saw the multiple replays on the jumbotron.
Injury Update: Fabian Washington sustained a shoulder stinger, and his return was questionable. But, he's on the field now, so that's that. Also, fullback Le'Ron McClain had an ankle injury, but they're going to retape, and he'll be back.
------
13:31, 2nd: The first big gamble of the game does not pay off for the Titans. Coach Jeff Fisher goes for it on fourth-and-8 on the Ravens' 30-yard line instead of kicking a field goal. Bad move. Center Leroy Harris botches a snap to Kerry Collins and the ball hits the turf. Collins recovers, but the Ravens take over on the 38-yard line.
Random Jersey Update: There is a dude wearing a red Arizona Cards Anquan Boldin jersey sitting a few rows down from the prpess box.
Injury Update: Willie Anderson is back in. Way to step up.
------
1:20, 1st: The Ravens strike back with a huge play. Joe Flacco steps up in the face of pressure and unleashes a 48-yard bomb to Derrick Mason. The place went from nuts - with blue towel waving Titans fans, to just nuts with Ravens fans. Mason actually had to double back for the grab and hauled it in on one knee before wrestling his way to the end zone. It was Flacco's first postseason touchdown pass.
------
1:28, 1st: Injury Update: Willie Anderson has a stinger and his return is questionable.
------
3:12, 1st: The Ravens finally get a first down when Joe Flacco sneaks sfor 3 yards up the middle. Phew... Let's hope they won't be so hard to come by later in the game. Then, as a follow up, rookie defensive tackle Jason Jones gets flagged for a roughing the passer when he contacts Joe's helmet. That finally moved the Ravens into Titans territory. But, it's nearly negated when Derrick Mason is called for holding.
Also, right tackle Willie Anderson was taken to the sideline after suffering some sort of injury. Looked to be a hand or a wrist. Adam Terry is in now for Willie.
-----
4:38, 1st: The Titans draw first blood with a Johnson touchdown from 8 yards out. He bounces a run to the right edge, where Fabian Washington whiffs on a tackle. The Ravens need to be better at wrapping up, because Johnson is so quick that he can freeze defenders in a second.
Not a good way to start off.
-----
7:03, 1st: The wet field will be a factor in this game, as the lightning-quick Chris Johnson slips by Bart Scott because the linebacker lost his footing in the open field. Johnson bursts for 28 yards.
-----
9:07, 1st: The Ravens' defense is stout, forcing a punt after Tennessee quarterback Kerry Collins starts off his day with a 17-yard completion, but Baltimore can't convert that into any points. They again go three-and-out. I'm going to keep an eye on McClain, though. He limped off the field after a bruising run that goes for 1 yard.
During the timeout, the Titans play this rip-off of the Bud Light commercials where they sing Real Men of Genius. It's called something like Real Fans, and it salutes upper deck fans. I think they got the actual singer from the commercials.
-----
13:02, 1st Quarter: The Ravens' first drive sets the tone for this game. One Le'Ron McClain run off right guard where two tacklers are needed to bring him down, another where he's tripped up for a loss by defensive tackle Tony Brown, and then a third-and-8 call where Willis McGahee could have broken a big gain, but he was ankle-grabbed by Albert Haynesworth. Tough sledding.
------
Intros: For pre-game, the Titans had this strange skit where a poor-man's version of Poe, the Ravens' mascot, and a Ray Lewis impersonator go out to midfield to cover the Titans' logo at the 50-yard line. Then, T-Rac, the Titans' mascot, comes blazing out of the tunnel wearing this Spartans-like gear and thwarts them by tackling them. Odd.
You can definitely tell there ware Baltimore fans here because they make their O's heard for the national anthem. That's the loudest I've ever heard Ravens fans on the road.
LP Field is really rocking though, mainly because of the presence of Michael Buffer, who does the "Let's get ready to rumble" thing. It's going to be electric today.
For captains, they had former Titans Derrick Mason, Lorenzo Neal and Samari Rolle out on the field, along with Ray Lewis, Brendon Ayanbadejo and Sam Koch. The Ravens lose the coin toss and will receive the kickoff. This year, the Ravens are 11-2 when losing the coin toss. Hmmmm...

Pre-Game II: The grounds crew is now taking the tarp off the field with two hours before kickoff. It still looks pretty wet. I'm going to check the conditions now and will report back to you in a bit. It seems that the Titans have re-sodded parts of the hashmarks for the game, but the rest of the field is pretty beat up.
------
Pre-Game: We're live here at LP Field for the Ravens' playoff matchup with the Tennessee Titans. I think there is a palpable sense of excitement and nervousness hanging around the press box. These are two teams that feature smash mouth rushing attacks and even nastier defenses. I can't wait to see the battle of attrition that will take place at the line of scrimmage.
That will be magnified today because of the less-than-desirable conditions in Nashville. It's oddly a summery 60 degrees outside, but rain is pouring down in intermittant busrts. The Titans' grounds crew currently has a white tarp covering the entire field to keep it dry, but I'm not sure how great of a difference that's going to make.
Before I head down to the field to interview Gary Glenn, my counterpart with the Titans, it should be noted that the Ravens will be cheered hard today. Friday night, downtown Nashville was awash in purple and black jerseys, and I definitely heard a few "Let's go Ravens!" chants. Then on the bus heading from the team hotel to the stadium, Ravens fans lined the roads. Great work, people. Can't wait to head the "OOOOooooooo!" during the national anthem. Charm City represent!
