If the Ravens have a success rate on the field like they did in their broadcasting department, it's going to be a heck of a 2007 campaign. Rave-TV, Baltimore's in-house television arm, went three-for-three at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards last weekend.

Nominated in the categories of Outstanding Regularly-Scheduled Sports Program for Ravens Wired featuring Jonathan Ogden, Outstanding Live Sports Production for the telecast of a preseason contest against the Philadelphia Eagles and Outstanding Achievement in Editing for I Am A Raven, the Rave-TV group brought home all three trophies. Rave-TV now owns 12 Emmys over the team's 11-year history.

"Earning these honors is a reflection of the access and support this organization gives us," said senior director of broadcasting Larry Rosen. "The trust that Ravens' players and staff have in us is invaluable. It enables us to create such a high-end product with that quality material."

The Ogden Wired piece was special for the department considering the tackle's preference to keep to himself. Despite typically avoiding the spotlight, Ogden wore a microphone during the Ravens' Week 8 matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

"For a player that values his privacy as much as J.O. and let fans have a peek into his world is special," said director of broadcasting administration Don DiRaddo. "It just shows how this department has been able to foster such relationship with our players."

The Ravens' four preseason contests, with the broadcasting team of Dick Stockton, Daryl Johnston and former Baltimore defensive tackle Tony Siragusa, aired on Fox45. DiRaddo served as the producer.

I Am A Raven was shown on a different medium: the SmartVision boards at M&T Bank Stadium. To the delight of over 70,000 attendees at the stadium each week, the I Am A Raven video gave fans a look into the minds of the players before the pregame introductions.

The awards were accepted by Rosen, DiRaddo, broadcasting manager Lauryn Lukin - who edited I Am A Raven - multimedia coordinator Jay O'Brien, broadcasting coordinator Matt Brevet and lead videographer Jeff Atkinson.
