Grubbs Gets the Start

Ravens rookie Ben Grubbs will earn his first-career start today in San Francisco, as he steps into the lineup at right guard for Chris Chester.

Chester is not injured.

This is not the first time Grubbs has seen action on the offensive line, though. The Ravens have plugged the first-round draft pick (29th overall) in on several series in all four games this season.

Grubbs will have his hands full in the middle with 49ers defensive end Bryant Young. Young, a 14-year veteran, leads the team with four sacks.

The Ravens eventually see Grubbs permanently starting at right guard, and have moved Chester over to center alongside Grubbs at times in the preseason.

Notable: The Ravens released kicker Rhys Lloyd Saturday, promoting wideout Matt Willis to the active roster from the practice squad. Willis is a 5-11, 185-pound undrafted free agent out of UCLA.
