Key Matchups
The Ravens are in Ralph Wilson Stadium for a Week 7 contest against the Buffalo Bills. BR.com highlights three key matchups heading into the tilt.
Ravens CB Samari Rolle vs. Bills WR Lee Evans
Don't' let the fact that Evans isn't the Bbills leading receiver fool you. Evans is a major talent and a constant threat to break open a game with a few timely grabs. With Chris McAlister inactive due to a knee injury, Rolle will likely be paired with the Buffalo wideout. Sunday will be Rolle's first start since Week 2 after recovering from an undisclosed illness, so he will have to shake the rust off early.
Ravens LT Jared Gaither vs. Bills DE Aaron Shobel
The Ravens are hurting at the left tackle position, where Jonathan Ogden (toe) and Adam Terry (ankle) have been sidelined with injury. But, the rookie Gaither has filled in admirably. After facing Pro Bowler Leonard Little last week, he'll have another test with Shobel, regarded as one of the league's best pass rushers. Even though Shobel only has one sack this season, he's due for a big game. Gaither will have to test his superb athleticism to keep up with the speedy end.
Ravens LB Gary Stills vs. Bills WR Roscoe Parrish
Sunday's game will be a meeting of two of the top special teamers in the NFL. Stills notched a Ravens record 44 special teams stops last year, and he'll have his hands full seeking Parrish, who is regarded as one of the NFL's top punt returners. Parrish showed why he's so feared on opening day, when he took back his first punt of the season 74 yards for a touchdown.
