Before the Ravens take on the San Diego Chargers this weekend, BR.com sat down with San Diego native Justin Green for some quick questions about his hometown.

You were born and raised on the West Coast. What is the biggest difference between Baltimore and Southern California?

"California, just in general, is laid back. Out here, it's more of a city life, more intense."

Green is a force on the Ravens' special teams.

What is your favorite thing to do in San Diego?

"Go to the beach! Because the weather is the way it is, 70 degrees year-round, you can go to the beach almost any day of the year."

Have you ever been surfing?

"Yes, I'm not a very good surfer though. Much better at boogie boarding."

If you were an anchorman in your hometown, what would your sign off be?

"If it's got to be, it might as well be in San Diego."

You went to school in Montana. Have you ever been on a horse?

"I have, but not in Montana. I actually rode one on the beach in Mexico. Never in Montana, though."

What do you enjoy the most about married life?

"Not only did I marry an incredible woman, one that fits me very well, challenges me daily and gives me opportunities to be a man, but she is just a loving, caring person to come home to as well. It's just great to have someone that shares the same thoughts, has her own thoughts and has something to bring to the table."

If you could have one meal with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be?

"Muhammad Ali."

And what would you ask him?

"How did you do it?"

What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

"Being able to look around and see who takes you in, the whole family orientation of it. Even if you're not necessarily at your family's dinner table, they treat you like family, and it's good to see that. When it's my turn to have Thanksgiving, and my son or daughter brings home a friend, I'd like to open up my house to someone as well."

Do you have any Thanksgiving family traditions?

"Growing up, before I went to college, it seemed that everyone came home. It was always good to see people you hadn't seen in awhile, and we got as many family members as we could together… or at least bouncing around the house somewhere. Ha ha."

If you could pass along one piece of advice to the rookies, what would it be?

"Stay confident in your abilities; you're here for a reason. Only really take care of the things that you can take care of. There's going to be many things thrown at you, and you can't necessarily do anything about the cards you are dealt. It's all about how you play the cards that you have."
