The injury bug continued to hit the Ravens, as rookie linebacker Prescott Burgess was placed on Injured Reserve today.

The Ravens also called receiver Matt Willis up to the active roster from the practice squad, while adding rookie cornerback Willie Gaston and linebacker Robert McCune to the developmental unit.

Willis joins the active roster from the practice squad.

Burgess originally suffered hip and thigh injuries in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he re-aggravated the ailment last weekend versus the Cincinnati Bengals. A sixth-round draft pick out of Michigan, Burgess was a solid special teamer that posted seven special teams stops.

With Willis on the active roster, the Ravens have insurance against the ankle of Demetrius Williams, a second-year wideout that left the Bengals game in the third quarter and did not return. Williams was replaced by Devard Darling as the Ravens' third receiver in that contest.

Willis, an undrafted free agent out of UCLA, was notable in training camp after making several solid catches while playing with the third team.

While Gaston was kept on Baltimore's practice squad for the entire season before being called up last weekend, he saw significant action against Cincinnati's explosive aerial attack. The rookie free agent from Houston was key in keeping the Bengals out of the end zone in his first NFL game.

McCune, a fifth-round draft pick of the Washington Redskins in 2005, spent the first seven games of his rookie season on the Redskins' practice squad, before playing in five regular season games. He was also inactive for four contests.

Last year, McCune spent the first 13 games on Washington's practice squad before the Miami Dolphins made him an inactive for three contests on their 53-man roster.
