The family movie night is a kickoff for the Matt Katula Foundation which provides for growth and development of community sports programs. The nonprofit organization helps children that need financial support and guidance to achieve their goals.

AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK

Heap Among 34 Players Participating in "NFL Take a Player to School" Day
Ravens tight end Todd Heap joined Aberdeen Middle School student Vincent Altadonna at school Tuesday, as part of the "Take a Player to School" contest, presented by the JCPenney Afterschool Program. Heap picked Altadonna up from his home in a limo and spend the morning with the seventh-grader, meeting his classmates and speaking to them about the importance of education and health. Heap also led the youth in a fitness activity, as part of NFL's new Play 60 campaign, helping youth get 60 minutes of exercise a day.

Thurgood Marshall Hosts ‘Get Smart About Credit Day'
Tight end Daniel Wilcox held a special assembly for juniors and seniors at Thurgood Marshall High School as part of the banking industry's national Get Smart About Credit initiative. Wilcox talked to the students about making good decisions regarding money and credit. M&T Bank representatives reinforced his message by teaching money and credit management skills in the classroom.

Maryland School for the Blind
Ravens linebacker Edgar Jones, cornerback David Pittman and safety Ronnie Prude visited with Maryland School for the Blind students Tuesday. The players brought field turf, football equipment and game-day attire for the students to touch, giving the youth exposure to the football experience.

Warren Elementary School Visit
Newcomer Nick Greisen was a celebrity reader for a Warren Elementary fourth-grade class, as part of National Reading Day. Greisen participated in a reading lesson by reading a book and assisted in post-reading comprehension activities.

ACT AUCTION PARTY

The Ravens will host the 7th Annual All Community Team Auction Party Tuesday, from 6-10 p.m. on the North Club Level of M&T Bank Stadium. The event will feature light fare with silent and live auctions. Proceeds benefit the Ravens player foundations (see list below) and the Ravens All Community Team Foundation.

Recent community projects include a playground build at Collington Square School, renovation of the football stadium at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, the donation of varsity football and women's basketball uniforms for all Baltimore City Public High Schools, upcoming Thanksgiving food distributions and holiday events such as the annual Holiday Helpers program Ravens, where players shop for holiday gifts with local children in need.
