On how Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin could help the Ravens...
Absolutely the Ravens should trade for Anquan Boldin. Less than one-third of first-round wide receivers make it big in the NFL and with the 26th pick, the odds get worse. Boldin is a proven commodity and it is crucial to get Joe Flacco a weapon. Our first- and third-round picks would be well worth it. Or how about a first and Derrick Mason? He has not been shy about his desire to leave if he doesn't have his contract renegotiated, which I doubt the Ravens will do. It seems to me that Arizona, who has the speedy Larry Fitzgerald, could use a proven possession receiver in Mason.

On the impact of the salary cap on a potential Boldin trade...
I think Boldin would be a wonderful addition. He's a great possession receiver, blocker and can take pressure off Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton. I guess the question is, do the Ravens have the cap room? With Ray Lewis getting over 47 million, they may not have much room to work under the cap. Between the talented class of receivers in the Draft and free agency, Baltimore has a good chance of getting Joe Flacco the weapons he needs to have a great season.

On why the Ravens should attempt to draft MD WR Darrius Heyward-Bey...
Darrius Heyward-Bey is a perfect first-round pick. I think the Ravens have done a good job addressing needs at cornerback and center, and I would like to see Tavares Gooden become the starter next to Ray. A solid linebacker can be taken in a later round anyway. Heyward-Bey has the build and speed to be a great receiver, and I think he would be successful with Joe Cool throwing bombs to him. Either way, Ozzie will make the right pick come draft day.

On why the Ravens should draft Ohio State WR Brian Robiskie...
Brian Robiskie is a consummate team player and his NFL pedigree has brought him up to be a very cerebral player who understands the game very well. People have been knocking him by saying that he doesn't have the top-end speed needed to create separation against cornerbacks at the next level, but he is a great route runner and great at yards after the catch, as his career at Ohio State attests. Besides, all we need to do is look at our own Derrick Mason to see how route running can help a receiver. Mason isn't the fastest guy by any means, but his great route running lets him continue to gain separation even as his top-end speed is starting to decrease. If we are looking for a big time wide receiver who would help Joe Flacco out soon, I don't think we could go wrong with Brian Robiskie.

On why the Ravens should draft Rey Maualuga...
I think that Rey Maualuga would be a perfect fit in the Ravens' defensive system. He has the passion and aggression needed to be a star linebacker in the NFL. Rey could also be Ray's (Lewis) successor when his career is over playing football. Having him here should also help the other young players step up. And with teachers like Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs, he can't go wrong.

On why the Ravens should focus their attention on the Draft...
I think trading for a marquee player like Anquan Boldin is not the best direction for the Ravens right now. I think the draft is still the best place to discover talent, and if worse comes to worse, let a guy that's been drafted sit and learn the system for a few years. That way there's not only little pressure to perform immediately, but there's already a familiarity with the players around him and an ever-growing comfort level with the scheme the O.C./D.C. is running. Home-grown talent gives a team leveraging power for situations such as...the Draft!

On why the Ravens should trade for Boldin...
I say yes, go get Boldin! A lot of people were hoping for us to use our 26th pick to acquire a talented wide receiver from the Draft. What's better than a young and very talented wide receiver who already has some NFL experience, has played at the highest level already, and has shown great presence on the field? To me, it's a no-brainer! Go get him Ozzie!

On why the Ravens should target UNC WR Hakeem Nicks...
Even though I am a big Percy Harvin fan since he represents VA, Hakeem Nicks is the guy I like. He seems like a guy that everytime the ball is thrown his way, there's a good chance that he will come down with the ball even if there's good coverage on him. With Flacco's arm and Nick's "Go Get It" ability, I can see a lot of SportsCenter Top Ten plays every Sunday. Heyward-Bey is a burner, but based on Eric DeCosta's comments, he still needs to learn how to play receiver. Nicks seems to be more NFL ready at this point, in my opinion.

On why the Ravens should focus on defense in the Draft...
DE Aaron Maybin would be a tremendous pick up for our team this year. I believe this draft is loaded with defensive playmakers. All three linebackers from USC could be possible selections. In my opinion we need a receiver but there's a lot of veterans still waiting to get signed, so I think it's time we take a prospect at linebacker. Let Ray Lewis breed him into a beast for our team for years to come because Ray's time is almost up.

On the prospect of trading TE Todd Heap...
I heard today on ESPN that the Ravens could trade their first round pick and Todd Heap for Anquan Boldin. This move would hurt the Ravens more than help them. Giving up Heap would be a huge loss, being that we don't have any solid back-up tight ends, and we can use this first round pick to get a good receiver such as Darrius Heyward-Bey or Hakeem Nicks.
