during football."
The mission of the Baltimore Ravens Player Development department is to empower players and their families to achieve personal, family, and professional stability and growth through utilization of NFL, club, and community resources.
We provide many services to make sure our Ravens family is well equipped to handle any obstacle that comes their way on and off the field. These services include:
This component of our program is designed to assist players and their families with the transition into, during, and out of the NFL. Services include help with degree and post-graduate completion, financial education seminars, off-season internships, life skills coaching, and mentoring. We also administer career assessment testing to give guidance to future career paths.
We know that a stable family and home ensures a focused player on the field. This is why player programs has enlisted the help of qualified support staff to help with any personal issues that may hinder the quality of life for a player, spouse, or child.
During the season, the NFL sponsors training for the players to deal with situations that many professional athletes face during their career. Anger management, family distress, and dealing with celebrity status among other topics. Drafted rookies are also required to attend the NFL's Rookie Symposium. This is an extensive four-day orientation to life in the NFL held yearly to prepare first players for the challenges of being a professional athlete.
