An Investment in Oher

by Mike Duffy 7/30/2009

Michael Oher felt he let his new teammates down when he did not report to Ravens training camp on time. But two-day holdout aside, that sense of accountability is exactly what the Ravens like about the offensive tackle.

Last year, Ravens second-round draft pick Paul Kruger made one of the most athletic plays a defensive lineman could ever make; despite recently recovering from a stab wound.

The report cards are in, but BaltimoreRavens.com wanted a closer look at a particular grade from the best draft analyst in the business, Mel Kiper, Jr. In fact, Kiper, a Baltimore native, invented the business. That’s why his grade of a “B” deserved a little extra scrutiny. Here’s what he had to say.
