The Ravens have a whopping 27 free agents this offseason, but, as opposed to past years, there aren’t many marquee names on the list.

That’s because General Manager Ozzie Newsome got a head start with players that were scheduled to hit the market in March. He’s already reached contract agreements with cornerback Jimmy Smith, safety Will Hill and punter Sam Koch.

Last year, the Ravens lost wide receiver Torrey Smith, outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, tight end Owen Daniels and backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor, just to name a few.

This offseason, Baltimore’s biggest names on the docket are kicker Justin Tucker, outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw, guard Kelechi Osemele and wide receiver Kamar Aiken (restricted).

Here are the Ravens’ 27 impending free agents as the page turns to the 2016 season.

There are 11 unrestricted free agents, four restricted free agents and 12 exclusive rights free agents. Only three are starters.

Unrestricted Free Agents (UFA)
Players that have the ability to sign with any team in the NFL once the new league year begins on March 9. The Ravens have the ability to negotiate with and sign their unrestricted free agents, or use the franchise tag (by March 1) to keep one of them, before the deadline.

Restricted Free Agents (RFA)
Players with three accrued NFL seasons whose contracts have expired, but received a qualifying offer from their current club that restricts their ability to sign with a new team. The Ravens have the first rights to sign their RFAs by designating them with a salary tender corresponding to a specified draft pick. A RFA could sign with another team if that new team signs the player to an offer sheet, and the Ravens choose not to match the offer. In that situation, the Ravens would then receive draft pick compensation from the new club for the RFA, based on the tender.
