Anquan Boldin Suffers Shoulder Bruise

Posted Dec 24, 2012

The Ravens came out of Sunday's game without any major injuries.

In addition to winning Sunday’s game over the Giants, the good news for the Ravens was that they came out of the game without any major injures.

Wide receiver Anquan Boldin left the game with a shoulder injury in the second half, but Head Coach John Harbaugh indicated Monday that it isn’t serious.

“Anquan has a shoulder bruise,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll see how that develops during the course of the week.”

Boldin was hurt while making a 16-yard, first-down catch in the third quarter. He dove for the pass and ended up falling on his shoulder with the ball against his chest, initially appearing to knock the wind out of him.

Boldin came over to the sidelines after the play, but he was back on the field after sitting out just one play. The Ravens ended up settling for a field goal on that drive, and then Boldin didn’t come back into the game after that possession.

The veteran receiver was the only player to leave Sunday’s game with an injury, and Harbaugh said that there were no other significant injuries to report.

“All of the other things that we had were basically things that will be day-to-day type of things,” Harbaugh said. “There were no major injuries. So we’re very fortunate there and we continue to get a little more healthy.”
