Ed Dickson, Dennis Pitta Not On Injury Report

Rookie Courtney Upshaw was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.

Thursday’s injury report provided some good news for Ravens fans, as tight ends Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson were not even listed.

That means the two tight ends were full participants in practice, a good sign that they should be ready to play in Monday night’s opener against the Bengals.

The only player on the active roster who didn’t practice was offensive lineman Jah Reid. Safety Sean Considine (head) was a limited participant and rookie outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw (shoulder) was a full participant.

Pitta (hand) and Dickson (shoulder) are both working their way back from training camp injuries and said yesterday that they will be game-time decisions for Monday. The tight ends returned to practice on Aug. 25, but have been taking it slow since coming back.

Having Upshaw as a full participant is also a good sign, as he re-aggravated a shoulder injury in the preseason finale. Upshaw told reporters yesterday that the “treatment has gone well” and that he feels “great.”

Considine’s status for Monday is up in the air, as he suffered concussions in back-to-back games during the preseason and the Ravens are being cautious about getting him back on the field. He was in a red non-contact jersey in the portion of practice open to the media.

For Cincinnati, rookie cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (knee) did not practice and has been ruled out for the game. The team’s first-round draft pick has missed the entire preseason after suffering a knee injury before the team began training camp.

The other players who didn’t practice were cornerback Jason Allen (quad), running back Bernard Scott (hand) and defensive end Carlos Dunlap (knee). The only limited participant was tight end Donald Lee (thigh).

Quarterback Andy Dalton (right bicep), tight end Jermaine Gresham (knee) and linebacker Dan Skuta (head) were all full participants.
