Despite all the losing, the lack of offense, and the firestorm of ill-timed penalties ... here we are, on top of the AFC North. Alone.
It feels right, even though it looks wrong. Maybe it's because I've been weirdly optimistic all season. Hasn't it seemed lately like all the stars are aligning? We posted a measly 3-4 record against "the easy" portion of our schedule, and suddenly, right when we were about to throw in the towel, POOF! The light came on.
In the last 14 days, we have won twice, the Pittsburgh Steelers have lost twice, the Cincinnati Bengals have lost and tied, the Cleveland Browns have lost twice, and the New England Patriots lost. Can you feel that excitement again? Believe it or not ... this is our year, my friends.
When the dust settles, we will be the kings of the "AFC Nope," the division with the least number of wins in the NFL.
