So... When Can We Challenge Penalties?

(CBS / Orion Pictures)
The NFL rulebook is a rat's nest filled with nonsensical codes and sports jargon. Every offseason, the league drafts up a few extra pounds of football law, crams them into the binder, and leaves the referees to sort everything out. Weirdly enough, even with this mountain of regulation, it still feels like we're missing some very basic guidelines (like, for example, what is a catch?)
After Sunday's loss, I feel comfortable lobbying for just one more football law: allow coaches the ability to challenge penalties. It'll help solve a common fan complaint and wouldn't add any extra time to the game because it would still count as one of the coach's two challenges. As an added bonus, plays like the one featured in the above gif could be – and I know this sounds crazy – ruled a touchdown instead of an offensive pass interference penalty.
Just a thought.

We're #1!

Congratulations guys, the Ravens are officially the NFL's leading team in players on injured reserve with 21 (including ![]()

What's even more remarkable is that seven of our starting 11 offensive starters have been put on ice for the season. I know that sounds depressing, but I have to say: MAJOR props to new Offensive Coordinator Marc Trestman (aka Tresties) for producing the NFL's 11th-ranked offense without 64 percent of his training camp personnel. Please don't get injured.

Think Happy Thoughts
Now that our playoff hopes are on life-support, let's spend some time each week to focus on the things that don't make us curse at the television. This week's happy little moment comes to us courtesy of the Philadelphia Angels. They beat the Patriots in Foxboro and it made my face smile.
Thank you for that, Philadelphia. We all needed it.

Uncle Buck's Closing Thought
Before you rush to the comment section to post your opinion on which gifs you thought were "pretty ok" and which ones you "didn't care for," let's take a moment to remember what makes us such good fans: we always win with class and we always lose with class.
Losing sucks, but don't let your emotions with this season tarnish our reputation as one of the NFL's best fanbases.

See you next week!
