The Ravens overcame a pick-six in Cleveland to win last week, but quarterback Matt Schaub’s two interceptions gave the Miami Dolphins all the points they would need Sunday.

Schaub threw an interception returned for a touchdown for the second straight week and his other pick led to a touchdown on the very next play.

Miami held onto a 15-13 victory after kicker Justin Tucker sliced a 55-yard field goal wide right with two minutes, 47 seconds remaining.

The Ravens’ all-time NFL record of consecutive one-score games was extended to 12 contests, but they were on the wrong side of the scoreboard this time.

The loss snaps a streak of three wins in the past four games and all but ends the team’s slim playoff hopes, sending them to 4-8.

Once again, Baltimore battled tough, and the throng of purple-clad Ravens fans on hand still gave a “Seven Nation Army” chant as the game ended.

Schaub’s two interceptions both came in the final two minutes of the first half, leading to a pair of game-deciding Dolphins touchdowns just 20 seconds apart.

Schaub finished 32-of-46 for 308 yards, one touchdown and the two picks. He has now thrown 14 career pick-sixes, including seven since 2013.

Baltimore’s defense played well and got a timely turnover thanks to a strip from safety Kendrick Lewis, giving the Ravens a chance to win the game late in the fourth quarter.

But an offense that had moved the ball well on the ground didn’t move it well enough to get into better position for Tucker. Tucker has missed all five of his attempts from beyond 50 yards this season.

Turning Point Of The Game
With less than two minutes left in the first half, it looked as if the Ravens were either going to go into halftime tied, 0-0, or with a lead. Two Schaub interceptions flipped the game. One set up a 38-yard touchdown on the next play and the other was returned for a touchdown, giving Miami a 15-0 lead. The Dolphins scored two touchdowns in 20 seconds (1:47 and 1:27).

Impact Plays

• On the Ravens’ second drive, referees called back a 52-yard touchdown pass to undrafted free agent wide receiver Daniel Brown. Upon replay, it was clear that Brown did not push off and had minimal contact with cornerback Bobby McCain. McCain simply lost track of the ball and slipped. The Ravens ended up punting.
  
  
• Baltimore strung together a 15-play drive on its third series, highlighted by some hard running by running backs Javorius Allen and Terrance West. The Ravens were stuffed on third-and-1 and went for it with a quarterback sneak on fourth-and-1, and were again spotted short of the sticks. The stop flipped momentum and the Dolphins were able to put together a short drive after.
  
  
• Near the end of the first half, Schaub’s pass was deflected at the line of scrimmage and bounced to safety Reshad Jones, giving the Dolphins possession at the Ravens’ 38-yard line. On the very next play, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill found rookie first-round wide receiver DeVante Parker one-on-one against cornerback Lardarius Webb for an impressive leaping touchdown.
  
  
• Three plays later, Schaub’s pass was again deflected by unblocked defensive end Derrick Shelby. The ball bounced up and right back down to Shelby, who returned it 22 yard for a touchdown. For the seventh time in Schaub’s last 20 interceptions, it was a pick-six.
  
  
• It looked like the Ravens special teams came up with another big play. A missed extra point was waved off because safety Anthony Levine was called offsides, then defensive end Lawrence Guy’s blocked extra point, which was returned for a two-point score by safety Terrence Brooks, was also called off because Guy was offsides. The Dolphins  scored on a shortened two-point conversion to take a 15-0 lead.
  
  
• Schaub came back firing and hit wide receiver Chris Givens for 36 and 20 yards, setting Tucker up for a 38-yard field goal. Baltimore cut the Dolphins’ lead to 15-3 at halftime.

• The Ravens offense scored its first touchdown on its first drive of the second half. Schaub found Allen open in the flats and Allen weaved through two missed tackles to find the end zone for a 41-yard touchdown, cutting Miami’s lead to 15-10.

• Brown made his first NFL catch (for real this time) for 17 yards and Allen followed it up with a 16-yard gain. The Ravens settled for a 31-yard field goal from Tucker, cutting Miami’s lead to 15-13.

• The Dolphins defensive line got the best of the Ravens in a critical situation. First, left tackle James Hurst was called for holding, wiping out a first down. Then defensive end Olivier Vernon knifed into the Ravens’ backfield to sack Schaub and force a punt with less than five minutes left.

• On Miami’s first play on the next drive, running back Lamar Miller broke off a 17-yard gain. However, Lewis tracked him down from behind to rip the ball out. Outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw recovered the fumble with about four minutes left.

• The Ravens only got 4 yards after the turnover and Schaub was injured after taking another vicious hit on his left shoulder. Tucker came in, but his 55-yard attempt sliced to the right. Tucker has now missed all five of his attempts from beyond 50 yards this season. 

Standout Performer

RB Javorius Allen
In his second game as the Ravens’ starting running back, Allen once again showed he can be a featured weapon. Allen ran 17 times for 63 yards and caught a team-high 12 passes for 107 yards and a 41-yard touchdown. It was the best game of the young running back’s career.

The Ravens return home for a three-game stretch at M&T Bank Stadium, starting with the 2013 Super Bowl champions and last year’s runner-up, the Seattle Seahawks.
