Pro Bowl voting is underway.

The NFL opened the ballot boxes for the annual all-star game, and the league is giving fans a variety of ways to cast their votes.

Fan voting accounts for a third of the overall tally (player and coach voting makes up the other amount), and here's the rundown on how fans can make their picks.

Twitter Direct Messages

This is a new element the league has incorporated into the voting process this year. Fans can access the voting options by clicking the link in the tweet below.

Tapping the link in the tweet will take fans to a direct message screen where they can select players by position group, player name or team name. The direct message window will lead fans through the entire voting process.

After voting, fans will have the option of sharing their votes with a tweet to their followers.

Twitter Hashtags (Dec. 7-14)

During the final week of Pro Bowl voting, the league will add another element to the mix. Fans will be able to cast their votes simply by tweeting #ProBowlVote along with players' first and last names, or Twitter handles.
