If falling to 1-6 on the year wasn’t bad enough, the Ravens are now dealing with injuries to the left side of their offensive line.
Starting left tackle Eugene Monroe
(shoulder) and left guard Kelechi Osemele (knee) both left Monday’s game in the fourth quarter and did not return. Head Coach John Harbaugh did not have an immediate update on their status after the game.
James Hurst replaced Monroe at left tackle and John Urschel took over for Osemele. Both Hurst and Urschel have starting experience under their belts, as Hurst played all but the opening series of the first four games this season because Monroe was sidelined was a concussion. Urschel started three games last year.
If the injuries to the starting linemen are serious, it would be another tough blow to an offense that has already dealt with its share of injury trouble this year. Starting receiver Steve Smith Sr. and tight end Crockett Gillmore have both missed games because of injuries this year.
Top draft pick Breshad Perriman (knee) has yet to take the field and second-round tight end Maxx Williams was inactive Monday because of knee and ankle issues.
In addition to the injuries on the offensive line, rookie cornerback Tray Walker also limped off the field after a punt return in the second half and did not return. Receiver Darren Waller left the game in the second quarter and never returned. There was no announcement of an injury.
Harbaugh will address the media Wednesday where he will likely give updates on the status of the injured players.
