Jonathan Ogden will soon have another ring to add to an already impressive collection.
The Ravens’ first-overall draft pick and 2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinee will be presented with his Hall of Fame ring at M&T Bank Stadium during a halftime ceremony at Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Ogden will now have three prized rings to his name – the Hall of Fame ring, a Super Bowl XXXV ring from his time as a player and a Super Bowl XLVII ring he received as a member of the Ravens’ Ring of Honor.
“Can't wait to receive my HOF ring in Baltimore in front of the best fans in the NFL @Ravens game this Sunday,” Ogden tweeted earlier this week.
As part of the ceremony, Pro Football Hall of Fame President and Executive Director Stephen A. Perry will be in Baltimore to present Ogden with the ring. Ogden’s Hall of Fame bust will also be shipped from Canton, Ohio to be on the field for the ceremony.
Ogden’s bust will also be on display before the game at the M&T Bank booth on Ravens Walk from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Ogden was inducted into the Hall of Fame in August, and during his enshrinement he made a point to thank Baltimore fans for the support they showed him during his 12-year career.
“I am so very proud to have been the Baltimore Ravens first-ever draft choice,” Ogden said at the conclusion of his speech. “And I am so humbled to be the Baltimore Ravens first-ever Hall of Fame inductee.”
