Kendrick Lewis Out, Lardarius Webb In For Monday Night Football

Posted Oct 26, 2015

Baltimore will be without its starting safety, but does get a starting cornerback back.

The Ravens secondary got one starter back, but lost another for Monday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals’ potent passing attack.

Safety Kendrick Lewis (knee) is inactive, but cornerback Lardarius Webb (thigh) will play. Both were listed as questionable.

Lewis hurt his knee last week on a scary play that knocked him out for the rest of the game. He was a limited practice participant for two of the week’s three days.

Safety Brynden Trawick could step in for Lewis, but a starter has not been announced. Anthony Levine would be the other option.

Webb missed that game in San Francisco after suffering an injury the week before against Cleveland. He was limited for the first two days of practice this week.

The Ravens need all the help they can get as Arizona had the NFL’s No. 2-ranked offense heading into Week 7’s games, led by quarterback Carson Palmer and receivers Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown.

Baltimore’s other scratches are wide receiver Breshad Perriman (knee), wide receiver Jeremy Butler, safety Terrence Brooks (hand), guard Ryan Jensen, tight end Maxx Williams (ankle/knee) and defensive tackle Kapron Lewis-Moore.

Butler was just brought up to the active roster on Sunday, but the Ravens chose rookie Darren Waller, who was probable with a concussion, over Butler.

Williams, Brooks and Perriman were ruled out on Saturday.

Veteran defensive end Chris Canty will play his first game since Week 2 against the Oakland Raiders. It remains to be seen whether he gets the nod over incumbent Lawrence Guy.

The Cardinals got some good news as Brown is active after missing practice time this week due to a hamstring issue. Arizona activated all six of its wide receivers for the game.

Arizona’s inactives are linebacker Alex Okafor (calf), linebacker Shaq Riddick, tackle D.J. Humphries, tackle Earl Watford, tight end Darren Fells (shoulder), nose tackle Xavier Williams and quarterback Matt Barkley.
