After getting Terrell Suggs, Michael Campanaro and Crockett Gillmore back on the practice field Monday, the Ravens had another player return from injury in Tuesday’s practice.

Rookie big-play receiver Chris Moore was back in action after missing the last two weeks with a reported foot injury. The fourth-round pick out of Cincinnati was limited in his workload, and he only participated in individual drills. He also spent a portion of practice just running routes on his own.

Before getting hurt, Moore had come on strong in a crowded receiver competition. He showed the ability to get downfield and stretch defenses, and he has the potential to give the Ravens a valuable vertical threat.

“Chris Moore was showing that potential play-making ability,” Harbaugh said. “We all knew he was a deep threat coming out of UC and he has definitely shown that. He’s made some plays down the field, but he’s also shown route-running ability, and shown willingness to block. We have to get him back on track.”

Moore didn’t play in the preseason opener against Carolina, but he should be in line to make his debut Saturday against Indianapolis as long as he doesn’t suffer any setbacks during the week of practice.

“Now we have to get him back out there,” Harbaugh said. “He was in individual today. We have to build on that. He is a rookie, he has a lot of work to do to be ready to do that, but yes, he has potential.”

Here are other news and notes from Tuesday’s practice: 

-   The Ravens had several guests at practice, including former Ravens defensive lineman Rob Burnett, former Ravens kicker Matt Stover and former Eagles kicker David Akers. Burnett talked to the team after practice, and Akers is going to spend a few days with the Ravens working with the coaching staff. Former New York Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin was also visiting practice in his new role working for the NFL. “It’s great to have Coach Coughlin here and have him watch us a little bit,” Harbaugh said. “He’s going to be working with the NFL and is going to do a lot of good things to foster communication between the coaches and the teams and the NFL office so we’re happy about that.” 

-  The list of sidelined players included offensive linemen John Urschel (contusion) and Rick Wagner (undisclosed), tight ends Maxx Williams (undisclosed), Dennis Pitta (finger) and Daniel Brown (undisclosed), wide receiver Chris Matthews (undisclosed), cornerbacks Kyle Arrington (undisclosed), Tavon Young (hamstring) and Sheldon Price, and safety Kendrick Lewis (undisclosed).

-  Suggs took part in more full-team drills compared to Monday’s practice. The Ravens are still easing him back into the mix, but he looks trim physically and showed good burst off the edge.

- The Ravens are looking for a punt returner, and they decided to challenge the players in the competition. Michael Campanaro, Keenan Reynolds and Lardarius Webb all fielded punts, and to make things interesting, the coaches had them try to catch punts while already holding multiple footballs. Campanaro and Webb were able to catch punts consistently while holding two other footballs, but Reynolds struggled with the difficulty of that drill.

-  Tight end Darren Waller had a strong day of work. He caught a first-down pass from Flacco that brought big cheers from the crowd after Flacco rolled out of the pocket to hit him over the middle. Waller then brought in another first-down catch on the very next play, and he was clearly fired up after snag.

-  Running back Justin Forsett showed off some nice hands with a one-handed snag over the middle as linebacker C.J. Mosley was in tight coverage.

-  The defense finished practice with a strong period in red-zone drills. Cornerback Will Davis batted down a pair of passes and then rookie cornerback Maurice Canady also knocked down a couple of throws in his direction. The secondary was consistently around the ball throughout the drill, making life very difficult on the offense to get into the end zone. 

- Wide receiver Mike Wallace adjusted well to a deep pass from Flacco that was tipped by cornerback Jimmy Smith. Despite Smith’s solid defensive move, Wallace still found the tipped ball and then bolted for the end zone for the score.

- Cornerback Jerraud Powers got his hands on a pass targeted for tight end Benjamin Watson. Linebacker C.J. Mosley first knocked the ball away from Watson, and Powers made a diving effort for the interception.
