The bye week is coming at a good time as the Ravens need some key players in the trenches to get healthy.

“I talked to Eugene and felt pretty confident – he felt very confident – that he would be back,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said. “I’ll go with that.”

“I don’t know about Jeremy,” Harbaugh said. “I haven’t heard anything about that yet.”
Harbaugh did say that Zuttah will return this season, but his status for the Jacksonville game is what’s in question.
Another lingering injury question is when the Ravens will get defensive end ![]()
He is eligible to return and play in Baltimore’s next game. Harbaugh didn’t say whether the Ravens would activate him for that game, but the team does plan to get him on the practice field soon.
“And I anticipate that as soon as he’s able to practice, he will practice because he’s healthy,” Harbaugh said. “And he looks pretty good in there right now. I’m not saying 100 percent healthy, but he’s right there and he’s really excited.”

“I wouldn’t rule out that we would bring another receiver in from somewhere,” Harbaugh said. “Obviously we’re looking real hard right now to figure out what we’re going to do.”
If the Ravens are going to make a trade for a receiver, they would have to do so ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. trade deadline.
The Ravens could also decide to go with who they have on the roster. Harbaugh indicated that they may give Butler a good look. He’s spent the last two weeks on the active roster, but has yet to see game action.
“I think obviously his role is going to expand, and it’s time for him to be ready,” Harbaugh said.
Elam Self-Reported Violation
The NFL announced last week that safety ![]()
Harbaugh explained Monday that the suspension stemmed for an incident that occurred nearly two years ago, and Elam self-reported it to the NFL.
“To be honest with you, I had forgotten that it was going to be coming up because that’s been a year-and-a-half, two years ago,” Harbaugh said. “Matt self-reported that. That was a situation that happened with he and a situation that he got involved in down there at Florida. I don’t even know the details of it. But what I do know is that he brought that to the league through the Ravens. He went to the league the let them know that.
“This was the result of doing that. I give him credit for stepping up and talking about the situation, whatever it was, and taking responsibility for it.”
