The Ravens have made an intriguing move ahead of the Monday Night Football showdown with the Cardinals.

Butler has spent the entire season on the practice squad. The 24-year-old receiver out of Tennessee-Martin is in his second year with the Ravens, and spent all of last season on injured reserve.
Butler gives the Ravens eight receivers on their 53-man roster. The fact that the Ravens made the roster move Monday suggests that Butler will be on the 46-man gameday roster, which will the first regular-season action of his career.
Butler, 6-foot-2 and 213 pounds, had 10 catches for 76 yards and a touchdown in the preseason. He flashed at times during the spring practices and into training camp, showing an ability to come up with big plays down the field.
The Ravens have used
The decision to cut Magee doesn’t come as a major surprise. He’s been on and off the active roster this year based on running back depth. Magee is a likely candidate to end up back on the practice squad.
