Posted Sep 2, 2015

To celebrate the start of the 2015 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens and Miller Lite will host Countdown to Kickoff, featuring festivities that are free and open to the public prior to the team’s opener against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 13 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (4:25 p.m. on CBS).

Maryland State Fair

Activities begin this week at the Maryland State Fair. Alumni players, cheerleaders and mascot Poe will be onsite Wednesday (9/2), Thursday (9/3) and Friday (9/4) to get fans excited for the start of the season. In addition, on Friday evening, both Lombardi Trophies will be onsite for fans to see and take pictures with from 4-7 p.m.

Ravens 5K and Kids Fun Run

On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m., the Ravens will host a 5K and Kids Fun Run held at M&T Bank Stadium, benefiting the One Love Foundation and House of Ruth, Maryland. The event begins with the Kids Fun Run and obstacle course at 6:15 p.m., and the 5K run or walk starts at 7 p.m. Festivities will kick off with longtime Ravens K Matt Stover, along with additional alumni RB Jamal Lewis and OLB Brad Jackson, the Ravens cheerleaders and Poe. After the race, runners will receive complimentary snacks, water and their finisher’s gift. Those who are 21 and over will receive a free Miller Lite. In addition, all runners and spectators can take part in the post-race tailgate on Gate A plaza, where concessions and the Ravens Team Store will be open. Packet pick-up for pre-registered runners will take place at M&T Bank Stadium next week, and times can be found online via the link provided below. Runners can still register online until Tuesday (9/8) or on event day at the stadium.

Countdown to Kickoff Party

The Countdown to Kickoff Party on Thursday, Sept. 10 at Power Plant Live! includes autograph signings with former Ravens OLB Jarret Johnson, RB Jamal Lewis and OLB Adalius Thomas. A live concert featuring country singer/songwriter Jerrod Niemann and emerging rock bands The Struts and We Are Harlot highlight the event. Plus, a live TV broadcast with partner WBAL will take place from 7-7:30 p.m. and feature special guest Ravens RB Justin Forsett. Fans can also meet the Ravens Cheerleaders, Playmakers, mascots and talent from 98Rock. Entrance to the party is free, but fans must be 21 years or older to attend.

Purple Friday Flock Festival

To celebrate the season’s first official Purple Friday (Sept. 11), the team invites fans to get decked-out in Ravens gear at the Inner Harbor from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., as part of the brand new Flock Festival. The festival will be held at the Light Street and Pratt Street Plaza downtown and is free and open to the public. Fans who live or work in the area are encouraged to attend during their lunch break or at happy hour. Food and beer trucks will be onsite all day, as well as live entertainment.
