Friday, Dec. 14

  • On Friday (12/14), WR Torrey Smith will host a holiday party for the homeless women and children at St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore’s newest program, Sarah’s Hope at Hannah Moore, a 75-bed emergency center. Smith will spend time with the families and help make Christmas ornaments, trim the tree, decorate the shelter and spread Christmas cheer.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

  • LB Ray Lewis will host his annual Holiday Gift Marketplace at the Walmart in Port Covington on Tuesday (12/18). More than 200 local underserved youth attend the special event, and each child is invited to shop for themselves and their families from an assortment of gifts.

  • During the month of November, LB Jameel McClain implemented an attendance challenge to students in grades 1-5 at Matthew A. Henson Elementary School in Baltimore City. The class that had the best attendance record during the month-long competition won a shopping trip with McClain. On Tuesday (12/18), McClain will join the winners at DTLR to pick out a new pair of tennis shoes. This is the first year that McClain has implemented his “Kicks for Kids Challenge” in an effort to help battle the problem of chronic absenteeism in schools.

  • On Tuesday (12/18) the Torrey Smith Foundation will host the inaugural “Teaming up with Torrey” Holiday Toy Drive at Dogwood Elementary School.  The foundation is asking for new, unwrapped toys to be donated. Those who donate will receive a pre-signed holiday card from Smith and the chance to win Ravens vs. Giants tickets. Plus, the first 50 donators will get to take a picture with Smith. All toys will be distributed to local families and to Sarah’s Hope families at Hannah Moore Homeless Shelter.

Ravens LB Brendon Ayanbadejo, RB Ray Rice and WR LaQuan Williams have volunteered to co-host the fourth annual Toys for Tots event at Jimmy’s Seafood on Tuesday (12/18). The cost of admission is a $20 minimum donation to one of the five charities involved in the event, and in addition, at least one unwrapped, unopened toy. The party will feature Jimmy’s famous food, music provided by a DJ, raffles and family entertainment.
