The roster shuffling has continued in Baltimore.
A day after making nine roster moves, the Ravens claimed free agent running back Raheem Mostert and placed second-year running back ![]()
Mostert, a rookie out of Purdue, was released by the Miami Dolphins earlier this week. He has played in one NFL game where he was used as a kickoff returner. Mostert spent training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he rushed for 157 yards on 39 carries in the preseason. He also had 14 catches for 197 yards.
He was cut by the Eagles at the end of training camp and initially signed to Philadelphia’s practice squad. The Dolphins then signed him to their active roster in Week 2.
The decision to put Taliaferro on injured reserve is a tough blow for the running back, who will have his season ended by an injury for the second straight year. A foot injury also landed Taliaferro on injured reserve last year, but it’s unclear if it was the same injury.
Taliaferro was listed as probable heading into the Cleveland Browns game, but was ultimately declared inactive hours before game time. Days later he finds himself on injured reserve. Taliaferro’s season ends with just 47 rushing yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Losing Taliaferro leaves the Ravens backfield scrambling a bit for players. Starter ![]()
