The sixth-round rookie suffered the injury during Monday night’s loss in Arizona.
Waller hasn’t made much of an impact on offense, as he’s notched two catches for 18 yards, but he’s been one of the team’s better special teams players.
His best play of the year on offense was a 17-yard catch in Pittsburgh that jumpstarted the Ravens’ game-tying drive in the final minute. It helped Baltimore to its only win so far this season.
The 6-foot-6, 245-pound Georgia Tech product impressed in training camp and emerged from a competitive wide receiver competition to make the 53-man roster.
He was at or near the bottom of the pecking order, however, and didn’t see much offensive action behind ![]()

Baltimore may have opted to place Waller on season-ending injured reserve because they needed to make room for an offensive tackle.
The Ravens promoted 6-foot-7, 326-pound offensive tackle De’Ondre Wesley from the practice squad. The undrafted rookie could be a necessary backup this Sunday against San Diego.
