The Ravens are mourning the loss of a staff member’s wife and daughter after a fire early Sunday morning at his Baltimore home.
A fire broke out at the home of Ellison James, who works in the team’s security department.
His wife, Charlene, died Sunday morning, and his daughter, Sage, passed away Monday after battling her wounds at a Baltimore hospital.
The team prayed for James and his daughter in the locker room after their 16-13 win over the Rams Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium, and Head Coach John Harbaugh began his remarks “on a somber note” announcing the tragic news
A fundraiser has been started online to help the family in this time of need.
It appears that safety Ed Reed has graciously donated $10,000 to the cause, fulfilling the entire original donation goal.
