Ravens-Steelers May Be Flexed Out Of Primetime Tonight

If the New York Giants beat the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football, the Ravens move to 1 p.m.

The Week 16 Ravens-Steelers rivalry game may be flexed out of primetime based off tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins.

The NFL announced the scenarios Monday afternoon.

If the Giants beat the Dolphins, the Giants-Vikings game on Dec. 27 will move into the Sunday Night Football slot on NBC, bumping the Ravens to 1 p.m. The Giants and Vikings are both in the thick of the NFC playoff chase.

If the Giants lose or tie tonight, the Ravens-Steelers game will remain in the 8:30 p.m. time slot.

Although the Ravens have been eliminated from playoff contention, their tilts against the Steelers are almost always classics. The Ravens beat the Steelers in overtime, 23-20, in Week 4 in Pittsburgh. The Ravens would also have a shot to hurt their rivals’ playoff chances.

The past four meetings between the Ravens and Steelers have all been on primetime television.
