The second-round pick will miss the week of practice after recently having a procedure done to repair a sports hernia, Head Coach John Harbaugh told the media.
Brown had the surgery after rookie minicamp, which took place the weekend of May 3-5.
“He’s recovering from that,” Harbaugh said. “It’s a four-to-six week deal, and he should be fine soon enough.”
The middle linebacker out of Kansas State is expected to compete for one of the two starting inside linebacker spots that opened up with the departures of Ray Lewis and Dannell Ellerbe this offseason.
The Ravens moved up six spots to pick Brown with the 56th-overall selection, and he’s expected to be full strength well before training camp starts at the end of July.
