The Caw: Add Human Barbell to Justin Tucker's Long List of Talents

Posted Nov 30, 2017

The Ravens kicker obliged when Brandon Williams asked if he could get a few squats in at the end of the Monday Night Football victory. This isn’t the first time Williams has squatted a teammate.

Kicker. Opera singer. Impersonator. Freestyle rapper. Trumpeter. Those are some of Justin Tucker’s talents.

Well, add human barbell to the list.

The 183-pound Tucker jumped on 340-pound defensive tackle Brandon Williams’ shoulders and went for a ride at the end of the Ravens’ 23-16 win over the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.

“Brandon just said he needed to get a couple reps in and I happened to be standing next to him. So I figured I’d be a good teammate and help him out,” Tucker told NFL Network’s “Up To The Minute.”

“You could ask pretty much anyone in this building, and [they’d tell you] I don’t spend a lot of time in the weight room.”

Williams, however, definitely doesn’t miss a workout.

He bench pressed 500 pounds when he was training for the NFL combine, where he put up 38 reps of 225 pounds. He’s gotten even stronger since, and bench pressed 525 pounds in 2014.

This isn’t Williams’ first time squatting a teammate either. He did the same thing with safety Eric Weddle at the end of a home win over the Browns last season.

So I guess this is just how Williams celebrates?
