If the Ravens reach Super Bowl 50 next year, look back on this as a precursor.
A mounted camera caught what looks to be a raven at Levi’s Stadium outside San Francisco – site of Super Bowl 50. (Maybe it's a crow, but looks enough like a raven to me.)
This bird seems to be intent on delivering a message. What is that message? Give your suggestions in the comments section below.
I think it was yelling at the scoreboard operators to turn the screens purple. Once it got its wish, it took off again. Boom. Omen.
The camera is mounted at the stadium to capture the work of transferring the football field into a hockey rink for Saturday’s 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series matchup between the L.A. Kings and San Jose Sharks.
But my gut tells me this bird is a lot more interested in football.
By the way, I remember hearing a story about former Ravens Owner Art Modell waking up on the morning of Super Bowl XXXV and seeing what he believed to be a raven outside his hotel window in Tampa. He took it as a sign of good luck.
I can’t find confirmation on that (and Senior Vice President of Public and Community Relations Kevin Byrne didn’t remember it), but I swear it’s stuck in my brain. Any reader out there recall that story?
If so, then count me in as a believer in the Levi’s Stadium raven.
