Top Tweets From Michael Phelps

Posted Dec 9, 2013

The Olympic champion and Baltimore native took over the @Ravens Twitter account Sunday.

The @Ravens official Twitter account had a guest star running the show Sunday.

Olympic champion and long-time Ravens fan Michael Phelps took over the Ravens account for Sunday’s game against the Vikings, and he offered a unique perspective for one of the most thrilling games in franchise history.

Here are some of Phelps’ best tweets of the day. (Mobile users, tap the “View in Browser” icon above to see the embedded tweets in full web browser).

Matt Elam scooped up his second career fumble in the first half Sunday, and then followed it up with a slide through the snow. The play reviewed to see if running back Toby Gerhart was down before fumbling – and referee Peter Morelli was criticized for allowing it to stand – but Phelps certainly liked the result.

Running back Adrian Peterson went down with an ankle injury and had to be carted off the field. Phelps showed his support for Peterson with this tweet.

Phelps showed some love for the grounds crew during the Ravens’ first-ever snow game.

He definitely loved seeing the return of Dennis Pitta

After the Pitta touchdown in the fourth quarter, things got crazy with four more touchdowns in the final 90 seconds. He never lost hope during and here was his assessment during the thrilling back-and-forth finish.
