Osemele vs. Hali
Kelechi Osemele made his second career start at left tackle, and the audition continues to go well. Osemele didn’t give up a sack on the day, and he held his own against another talented pass rusher. Osemele faced off with five-time Pro Bowler Tamba Hali throughout the game, and Hali finished with three tackles and no sacks. In Osemele’s two starts at left tackle, he has shown the ability to bring style as a bruising run blocker out to the edge. In the first video below, Osemele absolutely clears Hali out of the play, and running back ![]()
The biggest question with Osemele is how he will handle the speed rushers as a left tackle. He does a great job on the following play of preventing Hali from beating him outside, and then pouncing on him when the outside linebacker goes to the ground.
