Who's Practicing, Who's Not vs. Detroit Lions

Posted Nov 29, 2017

The Ravens are mostly healthy after their Monday Night Football game, but starting running back Alex Collins was surprisingly absent.

The Ravens were back to work Wednesday preparing for their Week 13 matchup with the Detroit Lions.

It’s a short week for the Ravens, and Head Coach John Harbaugh told reporters that he’ll dial back the intensity of practices to give the team the necessary time to recover for this week.

Baltimore had nearly the entire roster at practice, but the most notable absence was starting running back Alex Collins because of a calf issue. He rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown in Monday’s victory, and didn’t leave the game early.

The Ravens could just be giving him some additional time to recover, but his status will be something to watch throughout the week.

Stanley, Humphrey Both Practice

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley had a scare against the Texans when center Ryan Jensen was pushed into his knee. Stanley briefly left the game after hearing a “pop” in his knee, but he was able to return and practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.

Rookie cornerback Marlon Humphrey (thigh) also practiced on a limited basis. He only played seven snaps Monday because the Ravens wanted to “play it safe” with his injury, but the fact that he’s practicing early in the week is encouraging.

Cornerback Jimmy Smith (Achilles) and linebacker C.J. Mosley (ankle) were also limited participants. The only other player listed on Baltimore’s injury reporter was reserve offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor (shoulder), who didn’t practice. Eluemunor also missed last week’s game.

Stafford a Full Participant

The biggest injury question of the week is the status of Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who injured his ankle in Detroit’s Thanksgiving game. The extra rest seems to have served him well, as he practiced fully Wednesday.

participation early in the week is a sign he’ll be ready to play Sunday.

The Lions who didn’t practice were running back Ameer Abdullah (neck), defensive end Dwight Freeney (non-injury related), offensive linemen T.J. Lang (foot) and Travis Swanson (knee) and cornerback Jamal Agnew (knee).
