Step inside Marlon Humphrey's first offseason as the Ravens cornerback moved back in with his family and coached his high school track team.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger put up 506 yards and wide receiver Antonio Brown topped 200. So that meant rookie cornerback Marlon Humphrey , who made his first true NFL start, had a rough night, right? Wrong. Stepping in for Jimmy Smith , who tore his Achilles last week, Humphrey stood ...
Sophomore slump? In order for that to happen, Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown would have to realize he’s not a rookie anymore. “It really hasn’t hit me yet that I’m a sophomore,” he said during organized team activities (OTAs). “Honestly, I’m approaching it like I’m a rookie.” Brown had a highly ...
On Oct. 19, wide receiver Marlon Brown warmed up for the Ravens’ Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons with the rest of his teammates. Only problem was he was scratched minutes earlier. There was a miscommunication, so Brown went back to the locker room, changed out of his uniform and watched ...
Fans haven’t forgotten about Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown ’s rookie season. They haven’t forgotten about his game-winning catch in the snow against the Minnesota Vikings in 2013. Marlon Brown spent last year with his eyes wide open. The former undrafted wideout came into his sophomore season knowing that the arrival of veteran Steve Smith Sr. would likely cut into his playing time, but he wanted to find a way to make the most of his opportunity. “I was taking notes,” Brown ...
The start to Marlon Brown ’s 2015 season has been slower than he wanted. The third-year receiver dealt with a pair of injuries early in training camp, missing time because of back and hamstring issues. The back problem came first, and once that cleared up, then the hamstring gave him trouble. The ...

The Ravens will have a short-handed offensive line for Sunday’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Starting left guard Kelechi Osemele was the biggest injury question coming into the weekend, and he is inactive with a knee problem. Rookie fifth-round pick John Urschel worked with the first-team offensive line in warm-ups, an indication that he will start. Urschel has been inactive for the first five games of the season. If he starts, the Ravens will have two rookies on the left side of the offensive line with Urschel and James Hurst . Osemele is the second starter to miss time on the left side of the line this year, as tackle Eugene Monroe is also inactive for his third-straight game. In addition to Osemele and Monroe, the Ravens’ other inactives are wide receiver Marlon Brown (pelvis), linebacker Arthur Brown , tight end Ryan Taylor , and defensive linemen Chris Canty (wrist) and Timmy Jernigan (knee). Having Osemele out is a tough blow for the Ravens, as he’s been one of the team’s best offensive linemen this season. He didn’t practice all week after suffering the injury in last week’s game against the Colts. He tried test out the knee on the field before Sunday’s game, but he was noticeably hobbled as he went through a series of drills with Offensive Line Coach Juan Castillo. Rookie wide receiver Michael Campanaro is also active for the first time this year after the injury to Brown . Campanaro could see some snaps as a slot receiver for the Ravens, and Kamar Aiken may also see his playing time increase. For the Buccaneers, their inactives are quarterback Josh McCown, cornerback Jonathan Banks, safety Dashon Goldson, linebacker Jonathan Casillas, defensive end Larry English, and offensive linemen Kevin Pamphile and Kadeem Edwards. The most significant news for the Bucs is that their big wide receivers Vincent Jackson (rib) and Mike Evans (groin) are both going to play. They were both questionable on the final injury report, but they are active and expected to challenge Baltimore’s secondary.
