Since arriving in Baltimore, McClain has forged a strong relationship with the Salvation Army Baltimore Area Command...Jameel, who spent a period of his lifetime living out of a Salvation Army shelter, makes a conscious effort to give back to the organization...In 2010, he hosted his inaugural Thanksgiving food drive, and as its spokesperson, once again kicked off the annual Red Kettle Campaign...Promoted the Ravens' Play 60 initiatives by hosting kickoff assemblies for students at Manchester Elementary School and Garrison Forest School...Was the guest reader for children at the Festival of Trees, an annual fundraiser for the Kennedy Krieger Institute...In Dec. 2010, he joined teammates to provide a holiday dinner and gifts for 100 students from Lockerman Bundy Elementary School...Annually supports the Ravens' community initiatives including the annual women's event A Purple Evening (2009 and 2010).
