A week after being fined $20,000 for not listing safety Ed Reed on the injury report, the Ravens loaded up the first list before Sunday's game in Cleveland.
The Ravens had just five players on their injury report before the bye. They listed 15 on Wednesday after more than a week's rest.
"Yeah, t There's not going to be anybody that's not going to be on there," Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday.
The Ravens appear healthier than the long list suggests.
The only Raven who did not participate at all in practice was defensive end Pernell McPhee, who hadn't been listed since Week 3. McPhee (thigh) told reporterson Wednesday that he has been slowed by injuries.
"I know what's going on with me and I don't have a lot of explosion right now and I'm kind of slow off the ball," McPhee said before practice.
Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata was limited in practice due to a shoulder injury. He was listed with a knee injury last week.
Ngata has been dealing with injuries for the past few weeks, which and they held him to just 48 of 80 defensive snaps in Houston. The Pro Bowler left the game momentarily but, grinded it out to finished with just one tackle. It's a good news sign to see that Ngata is practicing as the defense can't afford to lost another marquee player, but he's still banged up.
Cornerback Jimmy Smith (abs), cornerback Chykie Brown (ankle) and wide receiver/return specialist Jacoby Jones (foot) were also limited.
Baltimore listed 10 players as full practice participants: linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hand), safety James Ihedigbo (hand), defensive tackle Ma'aake Kemoeatu (knee), tackle Bryant McKinnie (thigh), tackle Michael Oher (ankle), tackle Kelechi Osemele (ankle), safety Bernard Pollard (chest), linebacker Terrell Suggs (ankle), guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder), and the man at the center of the injury report changes, Reed (shoulder/chest). The Ravens had rarely listed any player as a full practice participant. In Weeks 5 and 6 they only had two players on the report.
The new injury report shows that Pollard's chest, an injury he suffered in Week 2 in Philadelphia, may still be bothering him. Ellerbe, Ihedigbo, Oher, Osemele and Yanda are all new additions.
"It's something that we felt like we were doing the right way," Harbaugh said Monday about how he listed players previously. "Obviously they [the league] disagreed so we'll adjust. We'll try to do a better job in the future."
The Cleveland Browns listed 18 players. Among the notables that did not practice were that defensive back Dimitri Patterson (ankle) and defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin (calf) did not practice. Linebacker D'Qwell Jackson (foot/toe), running back Trent Richardson (chest) and defensive back T.J. Ward (hand/shoulder) were among those limited.
