Marcus Spears is only 30 years old.
But the Ravens' new defensive tackle paid a visit to the self-proclaimed "fountain of youth" Tuesday afternoon in Texas.
Spears tweeted a picture of himself in a CRYO-X machine that displayed the temperature at -35 degrees. Yeah, that's really cold.
Intrigued, I went to the CRYO-X website to find out more about this insanity Spears was putting his body through. Here are their words:
"The cryosauna is a high-tech machine that uses cold temperatures to accelerate the body's metabolism, boost the immune system, help increase muscle strength and slow the aging process, giving your skin a more youthful appearance. There are many great benefits, including burning a minimum of 500 calories per session. The process is completely natural and highly effective."
Hmmmm, interesting. I read on:
"Although each session lasts just under three minutes, the effects of the cryosauna continue working long after you walk out the door. From the moment your session starts, your body begins naturally healing itself. This innovative technology may be the closest man will ever come to discovering the fountain of youth."
Is it just me, or do you hear the soothing voice of some Swedish woman in your head while reading that?
Anyway, I hope it works for Spears. The former first-round draft pick would probably love to go back to his early-20s body.
