Lardarius Webb came to the Ravens as a small-school, small-framed, third-round cornerback in 2009.
From that point on, Webb became not only a major fixture on the field, but in the Baltimore community, where he was a United Way partner and host of the annual Lardarius Webb Charity Softball Game.
After his release last week, Webb posted a touching goodbye to Baltimore on Instagram:
Sitting back thinking about all the great moments I've had in Baltimore. Thanks @ravens for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dream. It was a great 8 years in Owings Mills.
Thanks for being such a first class organization. Steve, thanks for being a first class owner. You're the real deal!! To Ozzie, thanks for putting your trust in me. Webb posted the message from a beach somewhere with his son in his lap. Good to see he's doing just fine, and the Ravens wish him all the best.
