Dumervil, 32, has been working his way back from an offseason “foot-area” procedure. The team activated him from the physically unable to perform list Aug. 22, and he practiced for a few days before having a minor setback.
He then spent three weeks on the sideline before returning to practice in a limited capacity Wednesday and Thursday. He did not practice Friday.
Dumervil expressed optimism this week, telling reporters that he was “shooting for” a return Sunday against the Jaguars. But he is out for another week. That means young linebackers Za’Darius Smith and ![]()
The only other uncertainty coming into the weekend was on the offensive line, where rookie left tackle ![]()
“It’s going to take a lot for me to miss a game,” Stanley said.

For the Jaguars, they will be without starting offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum, cornerback Prince Amukamara and defensive end Chris Smith. Their other inactives are quarterback Brandon Allen, center Brandon Linder, defensive lineman Jared Odrick and tight end Ben Koyack.
