To celebrate the start of the 2016 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens and Miller Lite will host Countdown to Kickoff Week Sept. 6 – 9, featuring festivities that are both ticketed and free/open to the public prior to the team's opener against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Sept. 11 at M&T Bank Stadium (1 p.m. on CBS).
Paint the Town Purple
On Tuesday, Sept. 6, fans can help the Ravens paint the town purple by visiting two locations to have their car stenciled with the official Ravens logo. Fans can visit M&T Bank Stadium in the morning (6 – 10 a.m.; Lot D) or the Maryland State Fairgrounds in the afternoon (4 – 7 p.m.; York Rd. main entrance). The first 500 cars at each location will receive a special Ravens Flock car flag. Fans will be joined by Ravens alumni P Kyle Richardson and WR Qadry Ismail(morning) andK Matt StoverandDT Larry Webster(afternoon).* This event is free and open to the public.* *
#FindTheFlock Scavenger Hunt
Fans can participate in a city-wide scavenger hunt between 12 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7 by locating one of the six LED Ravens letters spread around Baltimore. Clues will be provided throughout Wednesday afternoon via the Ravens Snapchat account (BLTRavens) and fans must use the hashtag #FindTheFlock for a chance to win prizes, including tickets to the Miller Lite Flite Deck for the home opener. (Must be 21 and older to win tickets to the Miller Lite Flite Deck).
Additionally, fans will be able to send well wishes to the team by signing the official Ravens Flock banner at the Inner Harbor amphitheater (corner of Light St. and E. Pratt St.) from 6 – 8 p.m.
Playmakers Visits
On Thursday, Sept. 8, Ravens Playmakers will be out and about at local bars and restaurants in the Baltimore area to interact with fans and provide opportunities to win tickets to the Miller Lite Flite Deck for the home opener (must be 21 and older to win). Countdown to Kickoff Party
The Countdown to Kickoff Party presented by Miller Lite on Friday, Sept. 9 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds includes autograph signings and appearances by current Ravens players TE Crockett Gillmore and S Eric Weddle, Ravens alumni OT Jonathan Ogden, FB Vonta LeachandLB Brad Jackson* and is highlighted by a live performance by the Charm City Devils and Grammy Award-winning band, 3 Doors Down. Plus, a live TV broadcast with partner WBAL will take place from 7:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. and feature special guests. Fans can also participate in fun games and activities like an inflatable obstacle course, life-sized tailgate games as well as meet the Ravens Cheerleaders, Playmakers, mascots and talent from 98 Rock. Hightopps Backstage Grille will have food and beer available for purchase and beer will also be available for purchase at the Miller Lite Party Bar, which will feature happy hour pricing from 5 – 7 p.m. Tickets to the event are $10 in advance at BaltimoreRavens.com/CTK and $20 at the door. The event is open to all ages.
Week of Winning
Ravens fans who cannot make it to the events are encouraged to participate online in the Week of Winning, presented by Dunkin Donuts. The contest opens on Monday, Sept. 5 and offers daily prizes all week such as free Dunkin Donuts coffee for a year, autographed Ravens memorabilia and Ravens game tickets.
