The Ravens are taking a look at veteran return man Devin Hester, Head Coach John Harbaugh confirmed Saturday.
Hester flew to Baltimore for a workout Friday, and then went through another workout Saturday morning. He also underwent a physical to determine whether he has recovered from offseason toe surgery that sidelined him for the last several months.
“It’s in [General Manager Ozzie Newsome’s] hands right now in terms of what Ozzie decides to do,” Harbaugh said about potentially signing Hester.
If the Ravens decide to sign the 33-year-old returner, he could end up taking wide receiver 
Campanaro was not at Saturday’s practice.
“Of course it will have an impact on our roster, certainly,” Harbaugh said. “It’s a key spot and there are a number of players that would be vying for that spot.”
Hester, a four-time Pro Bowler, is one of the most prolific returners ever. His 14 career punt return touchdowns are the most in league history, and he has 10,382 total return yards in his 10 NFL seasons. Hester is coming off an injury-shortened season where he played only five games and did not have any return touchdowns.
The Ravens have to trim their roster to 53 players by 4 p.m. Saturday, and that process could indicate whether the Ravens plan to sign Hester going into the season.
