The Ravens made a swap at cornerback Friday afternoon, waiving 
The move, which was on the NFL’s official transaction report, comes two days before facing the rival Pittsburgh Steelers at M&T Bank Stadium.
Lewis-Harris was surprisingly released by the rival Cincinnati Bengals Thursday. The Bengals re-signed veteran defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry and needed to make room on the roster.
The reason why it’s a surprise is because Lewis-Harris, 27, is a promising young player. He has played in 26 career games since signing with the Bengals as an undrafted rookie out of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 2012.
Lewis had not yet emerged enough to earn a single start. He has 13 career tackles and one interception which came this season in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.
Davis’ release comes about 13 months after the Ravens traded a seventh-round pick to Miami for his services. He played well in two games, including one against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but suffered a season-ending knee injury after just a couple weeks with the team.
It was Davis’ second torn ACL of his career, and he had a long rehabilitation that put him behind this summer. He had played in just three games so far this year and made four tackles and one interception, which came on a heave as the first half expired against the New York Giants.
