Watson tore his Achilles on the first play of Saturday’s third preseason game. It was a non-contact injury.
Still a little woozy but out of surgery, and in recovery. THANK U, THANK U, THANK U for all the prayer! #PTL pic.twitter.com/zq8c12ohKz

Some have wondered whether the injury could spell the end of Watson’s career considering he’s 35 years old and entering his 13th season.
There have also been questions about whether Watson will return to the team at all for his recovery. The Ravens would love to have his continued leadership in the locker room and tight ends meeting room, but Watson will have to be off his feet for extended time.
Watson may have answered those questions on social media.

Watson also said on Instagram that he’s “looking forward to being in the tunnel again.”
In his usual style, Watson has handled his injury with optimism and grace.
Watson tweeted his thanks to Gold medal wrestler Helen Maroulis for her pregame speech just minutes before Watson suffered his injury. He also eloquently weighed in on the San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the national anthem.
