The Baltimore Ravens will hold a free summit for leaders of high school football teams at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. The event features longtime Baltimore Colt Joe Ehrmann, Super Bowl-winning head coach Brian Billick and Coach for America executive director Jody Redman.

Highlighted by breakout sessions led by Ehrmann for coaches and team captains, Billick and a Ravens player will also participate in the event as panel members for a discussion on the importance of high school football in their lives. Furthermore, the summit will also include breakfast and a stadium tour for attendees.
Through the Ravens RISE program, presented by Wendy’s, which was created in 2014 in an effort to cultivate youth and high school football, coaches from Maryland and its surrounding area are invited to attend at no cost.
“Coaches and standout student-athletes have unique platforms that strengthen their school communities through teamwork, education and inspiration,” Ravens president Dick Cass stated. “We are proud to support these influential leaders.”
A resident of Baltimore, Ehrmann regularly travels around the country to speak with NFL, college and high school coaches and teams about his “InSideOut Coaching” methods. He has been recognized by Parade Magazine as “The Most Important Coach in America” and was also named one of the “100 Most Influential Sports Educators in America” by the Institute for International Sport. Additionally, Ehrmann was selected by the Baltimore Business Journal as the “Renaissance Person of the Decade” for his dedication and commitment to Baltimore City’s betterment.
Billick coached the Ravens from 1999-2007. He is the second head coach in team history and first to lead the Ravens to a playoff berth (2000 season). He then guided Baltimore to a World Championship in Super Bowl XXXV and to the team’s best single-season record ever (13-3 in 2006). Since leaving the Ravens, Billick has served as an NFL expert analyst for the NFL Network and FOX-TV.
Redman is regarded as the “national leader in the intentional growth and development of students through education-based athletics.” A nationwide speaker who has presented at high school athletic conferences to students, coaches and supervisors throughout the United States, she also administers the Minnesota Coached Education Program for the 500 high schools of the Minnesota State High School League.
