Funny Pages: Ravens-Themed Children's Books to Help You Sleep

Posted Oct 13, 2017

The Ravens' 2017 season has already been exhausting with its extreme ups and downs. Needing to continue last week's momentum, the key to success is a good night's sleep.

The football universe is as enjoyable as it is exhausting.

I mentioned last week that we were going to have some ups and downs, but I didn't expect THAT much "up" so quickly. After two rough games, that win couldn't have come at a better time. You could practically hear the entire state of Maryland breathe a sigh of relief through the television. The season has been so unpredictable that I don't even know how to talk about football around other people. A coworker asked me how the Ravens are doing, and the best I could come up with was, "Well, we've played five games."

Ravens games in 2017 are all or nothing. We're like a man who only knows how to whisper or scream.

Right now we're feeling good and we need to keep that momentum going. My dad always taught me that the key to success is a good night's sleep (I'm literally writing this at 12:30 a.m.), so I thought it would be nice to share a few Ravens-themed children's books to help get you to bed on time.

NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

"You've got brains in your head,
you've got feet in your shoes.
You can throw the ball,
to any receiver you choose."

NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

"It's not often someone comes around who's a good friend and a ballhawk."

NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

"If you give Alex Collins a football, he’s going to want to devour the soul of any defender in his path."

NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

"Goodmornhig weg, goodmornhig air, goodmornhig noises everywhere."

NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

"The Jags loved the QB very much ... and the QB was happy."

NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

"Come right up close to the WR and I will show you something wonderful."

Sweet dreams, Ravens fans. Have a great weekend!

- Ben
