Jim Harbaugh Names Newborn Boy After Brother, John

Jim Harbaugh and wife Sarah welcomed the couple’s fourth child yesterday. Weighing in at 4 pounds, 13 ounces, John came earlier than expected.


John Harbaugh was born yesterday.

No, not the Ravens head coach; his nephew.

Jim Harbaugh, Michigan’s head football coach, named his seventh child – the couple’s fourth – after his brother. Jim and wife Sarah welcomed in their newest bundle of joy a little earlier than expected.

Jim has used family names in the past. The couple’s oldest child was named after grandfather Jack, who is a former football coach and introduced John and Jim to the game. Jim tweeted last week while visiting the White House that he and his wife were expecting … but not for another month.
