The Ravens will scratch four young defensive backs for the season finale Sunday in Cincinnati.

Cornerbacks Tray Walker, Jumal Rolle and Sheldon Price and safety Jermaine Whitehead are all inactive for the 1 p.m. matchup with the Bengals. The Ravens decided to go with more veteran defensive backs in Kyle Arrington and Shareece Wright against a potent Bengals passing attack.

Walker, a rookie fourth-round pick, played the last two games but was used only in a special-teams role. Rolle played significant defensive snaps in the Week 15 game against the Chiefs when cornerback Jimmy Smith left with a thigh injury, but he was a healthy scratch last week when Smith returned. Price and Whitehead were recent additions to the active roster and they didn’t play in a game this year.

The other inactives for Baltimore are quarterback Jimmy Clausen, linebacker Albert McClellan and defensive lineman Kapron Lewis-Moore. McClellan is the only player missing the game for an injury-related reason, as an ankle issue has cost him the final three games of the season.

With Clausen inactive, veteran Matt Schaub will back up starting quarterback Ryan Mallett for the second week in a row.

For the Bengals, the most notable inactive is starting quarterback Andy Dalton. He was ruled out earlier in the week because of a thumb injury on his throwing hand, and the Bengals will start AJ McCarron in his place for the third-straight week.

The other inactives for Cincinnati are offensive guard Eric Winston, wide receiver Mario Alford, halfback Ryan Hewitt, and defensive linemen Marcus Hardison and Will Clarke.
