Who Ravens Fans Should Root for in Week 15

Week15_WhoToRootFor

After Thursday night's win over the New York Jets, the Ravens get to kick their feet up, with the division crown atop their head, and watch the rest of the league.

Baltimore can clinch a first-round bye or home-field advantage this weekend. It's a longshot, but possible.

"Oh yes [I'll be watching]," Head Coach John Harbaugh said Sunday night before cracking a joke. "I'll have a rooting interest – not a betting interest. Let's make that clear."

Here's who Ravens fans should be rooting for:

Denver Broncos (5-8) at Kansas City Chiefs (9-4)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
The Chiefs are obviously favored in this game, but it could be a better game than it seems on paper. The Broncos have won back-to-back games and blew out the Houston Texans last week. Rookie quarterback Drew Lock is playing well and Denver's defense can rise up. Chiefs quarterback and reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes is dealing with swelling in his throwing hand. A Kansas City loss guarantees the Ravens a first-round bye.

>

New England Patriots (10-3) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-12)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
The Patriots have dropped two straight games and are struggling on offense. This week came another distraction as they admitted to videotaping the Bengals sideline during last week's Bengals-Browns game. The Bengals have the worst record in the league, but they've been playing better with Andy Dalton back under center the past two weeks. Can they pull off a massive upset? A Patriots loss also locks up a first-round bye for Baltimore.

>

Houston Texans (8-5) at Tennessee Titans (8-5)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
The AFC South is up for grabs between these two teams, who will meet twice in the final three weeks of the season. Houston is coming off a lopsided loss to the Broncos while the Titans are one of the NFL's hottest teams with wins in four straight. Ryan Tannehill has played inspired football and the Titans have a strong ground game led by Derrick Henry. This game doesn't impact the Ravens, but the winner of the AFC South could very well end up as the AFC's No. 4 seed, which would put them in line for a potential trip to Baltimore in the divisional round if the Ravens are the top seed.
Root for: Whichever team you think is worse

>

Cleveland Browns (6-7) at Arizona Cardinals (3-9-1)
Sunday, 4:05 p.m.
The Browns are holding onto a flicker of hope that they can sneak into the playoffs. They reportedly have a six percent chance. A defeat here would likely knock them out.

>

Buffalo Bills (9-4) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-5)
Sunday, 8:20 p.m.
The Steelers no longer can win the division, but they're currently in the sixth and final AFC playoff spot. Ravens fans surely don't want to see them make the postseason, and the Bills can punch their ticket and deal the Steelers a tough defeat at the same time.
